Christmas is a time for sharing and giving back to our society. In this regard, the Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB) has brightened the lives of a few families. On December 9, 2009, ECHMB delivered food hampers to four (4) less fortunate families in the Godwin Ghaut area in St. Kitts. Persons receiving food hampers include: Ms Lilian Gibson, Ms Sarah Mardenborough, Ms Iona Forde, and Ms Natasha Forde.
Present at the handing-over ceremony of the food hampers were staff members of ECHMB including Mrs. Miriam Etienne, Executive Secretary, Ms Sharon Pyke, Secretary II and Mr. Dennis S. M. Cornwall, Manager, Research and Marketing. According to the Manager, Research and Marketing: “We are conscious that times are difficult for many families and more so for the less fortunate among us. Therefore in the spirit of Christmas, we are ensuring that ECHMB brings smiles to some less fortunate families in our community.”
One of the recipients of the food hampers, Ms Iona Forde remarked: “We appreciate very much the food hamper received from ECHMB and we will ensure that we make the best use of it. We also want to wish the Management and Staff of the Bank continued success in the future.” Ms Forde was also very emotional when she gave thanks to God for sending her family blessings at this time of the year.
