Over the years, the Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank (ECHMB), in collaboration with the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), has offered specialized training programmes designed for professionals involved in mortgage decision-making, lending, and administration, as well as those preparing to enter these roles. These programmes address key factors affecting the efficiency of mortgage underwriting and servicing, including land title processing, development and land use planning, structural integrity assessments, property valuation, risk management, and credit scoring.
The programme consists of three modules delivered over an eighteen (18) month period; however, participants may begin the programme with any module, as sequential progression is not required. The course fee is EC$3,500.00 per participant, per module, which includes course materials, site visits to locations such as the High Court Registry and active construction sites, as well as daily lunch, coffee breaks, and afternoon refreshments.
Please note that travel arrangements are the responsibility of each participant's respective institution.
To support environmental sustainability, all course materials are delivered electronically upon confirmation of registration via a secure student portal. Successful completion of the programme contributes towards REIC accreditation.
